Mike Monaco is a play-by-play announcer for ESPN, as well as the fill-in play-by-play announcer for Boston Red Sox broadcasts on NESN.

Mike calls five sports for ESPN: Football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and tennis. His assignments include college football, MLB, NHL, and college basketball games, as well as the College World Series, the Little League World Series, Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Australian Open. 

Mike joined ESPN in 2019 after previously working at the Big Ten Network and FOX Sports from 2017-19.
 
After initially filling in on Red Sox telecasts during the 2019 season, Mike has served as the fill-in voice of the Red Sox on NESN since. In addition to his Red Sox TV work, he's part of the WEEI Red Sox Radio Network booth. 
Mike has also called games for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Blackhawks.

Born and raised in Cohasset, Massachusetts -- where he played baseball, soccer, and basketball at Cohasset High School -- Mike went to the University of Notre Dame. He spent two years in the Cape Cod Baseball League and five years in Minor League Baseball, including the last three with the Pawtucket Red Sox (Triple-A).
